Warehouse racking is a heavy duty storage solution designed to hold large, heavy goods within a dedicated stores area. Commonly found in warehouses and factories, warehouse racking provides a safe and stable way to store multiple fully loaded pallets ready for retrieval by a fork lift truck.

Warehouse racks can be supplied in many different styles and configurations but it is important to ensure your warehouse installation is designed equally well for maximum storage capacity and ease of use.

Racking systems for warehouses must be designed to fit within the stores area and be compatible with the handling equipment such as fork lift trucks, whilst being able to withstand the heavy loads involved in storing palletised goods.

Pallet racking is one of the most widely used storage products in the warehouse environment, there are many different styles of pallet racking available to suit just about any application with the most popular being static bays of racking where a forklift truck can access all of the pallet spaces.

Push-back racking can provide a high density pallet racking solution within a confined space, capable of storing up to 50% more stock within the same floor space as standard pallet racking.

Push back racking stores pallets one behind the other up to 4 deep, pallets are loaded onto a specially designed carrier which pushes everything within that section backwards. When a pallet is removed, all of the remaining pallets simply roll forwards until they reach the front of the racking. Pallets are accessed from the front of the racking unit only so therefore require a last in, first out storage regime.

Cantilever warehouse racking is used for the storage of base materials such as tubes and bars of steel or timber lengths. Cantilever systems can be configured as both single and double sided racks with many different arm configurations to suit the stock being stored. Steel box section arms are securely fixed to heavy duty uprights in a wide range of sizes for easy access with a forklift truck or gantry crane.

Long span racking is a scaled down version of pallet racking for hand loaded items, although not designed for use with forklift trucks, long-span racking provides very high load capacities together with a slimmer profile that can be easily installed into smaller warehouses.

Whatever warehouse racking system you choose, always ensure that it is supplied and installed to the highest standards by a professional company.
